Portraying Bill Gates, who made headlines during his visit to India in February 2024 and featured in Nagpur’s Dolly Chaiwala’s video, Carryminati took this collaboration to unprecedented heights.
Beginning with sharp critiques of Delhi’s famous Vada Pao Girl, Chandrika Dixit, and calling out her attention-grabbing antics, Carryminati had been building anticipation ever since the teaser was released. Adorned in a sleek black suit with a crisp white shirt, Carryminati’s appearance and mannerisms were an uncanny resemblance to Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft. He proceeded to comically roast Dolly Chaiwala, played by content creator Purav Jha.
In the humorous sketch, Gates reluctantly followed Dolly’s instructions to pour milk in his distinctive style and playfully stick out his tongue. Gates even underwent a transformation to mimic Dolly’s signature attire: a blue shirt, black vest, yellow sunglasses, and of course, a quirky microphone. The segment concluded with Dolly accidentally singeing Gates’ hair, prompting Gates to jest about turning into Jeff Bezos.

For those unfamiliar, Dolly Chaiwala shot to fame after featuring none other than Bill Gates in her video. The clip begins with Gates requesting a cup of chai from Dolly. The tea vendor then prepares the tea using his unique method. As Gates savors the hot beverage, he expresses his delight about being in India.
“I’m thrilled to be back in India, home to extraordinary innovators working on groundbreaking solutions to save lives and enhance them, and even brew a special cup of tea,” reads the text overlay in the video. The video ends with Gates looking forward to engaging in discussions over tea or “chai per charcha,” standing alongside the tea vendor. Since then, Dolly has become a sensation, serving up chai and laughter in equal measure!
