Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s latest film, Bad Newz, is making a significant impact at the box office, raking in approximately Rs 20 crores within just two days of its release. The movie debuted with earnings of about Rs 8.62 crores on Day 1, followed by a solid Rs 10 crores on the second day.
Featuring Ammy Virk in a crucial role alongside Vicky and Triptii, the film achieved an overall occupancy rate of 22.81% in the Hindi market. The morning shows started with a 13.39% occupancy, which surged to 30.21% and 37.51% during the evening and night screenings, respectively.
Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is a romantic comedy that introduces a fresh trio of talents – Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. The film’s unconventional plot, where Dimri’s character discovers she is expecting twins from two different fathers portrayed by Kaushal and Virk, has captivated audiences and stirred curiosity about its storyline.
Vicky Kaushal has been particularly noted for his dance moves in the song “Tauba Tauba,” and his chemistry with Triptii in the intimate song “Jaanam” has also garnered attention. Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz also stars Neha Dhupia.
Katrina Kaif, Vicky’s partner, also shared her thoughts on the film on Instagram, praising the entire cast and especially Vicky Kaushal.
